Talking, Where I'm From

Talking, Where I’m From is an experimental documentary that follows the personal journeys of two women, the filmmakers’ mothers, each reflecting on their lives and the paths that led them to therapeutic practice. Through intimate conversations, the film explores how lived experience has informed their work, as well as how they have navigated motherhood alongside their professional identities. Blending archival material and contemporary footage, the women retrace their steps, weaving past and present to reflect how memory continues to resonate in the present. At its core, the film is an intergenerational conversation.
