Quick Walk-Through of the Art Opening Minds Platform

    ~3m

AOM is your home base for leading meaningful conversations through film. Here’s how to find your way around in just a few clicks.

    Your dashboard

When you log in, you’ll land in your dashboard. If you’re new, the first thing you’ll see is the orientation. Complete it to unlock class booking. After that, your dashboard is where you will see upcoming and past classes, access evaluation data in real time, and manage your participant links.

    Browse or search for classes

Click “Explore Classes” from the top section of your Partner Portal. You can either answer our questions to filter down to the right class right away, or just skip the quiz and go directly to the full class list. The filters on the left side of the screen allow you to narrow by a bunch of different metrics, based on what you’re trying to achieve with your class. The available filters are: mental health topic(s), AOM Nutrients, CASEL SEL skills, Wellness Wheel attributes, Audience type (students or faculty and staff), the type of class, length, identities of characters in the films, and film style.

    Explore class pages

Each class page gives you everything you need to decide if a class is right for your group. You’ll see:

    • Session outline including every step from resource review through closing thoughts and evaluations)
    • Expanded class description, which many instructors copy this into their own promotional materials when inviting participants.
    • Complete metadata including topics covered, AOM nutrients and wellness wheel alignment, SEL skills addressed, featured identities, and film style.
    • The film(s) featured in the class with descriptions so you can watch them before you commit.
    • A “More Classes Like This” section if the topic is right but you want to explore options.
    • (If your school has an institutional plan, you’ll also see a history of when that class has been used at your institution including which instructors ran it, when, with which rosters, and complete evaluation data so you can coordinate and review participant feedback.)

    Navigate easily

The top navigation bar has permanent links to Mental Health Support links to share if a class surfaces something for you or a participant. In Favorites you can save classes, films, wellness snacks, and even playlists so you can come back to them without remembering your exact searh. Your Portal is where you manage everything — upcoming classes, past results, billing, and your invite link. In the footer you’ll find the Learning Center (you’re in it right now) and the FAQ.

    Tips & Notes

    • You can download materials for your sessions, just keep them within your class (no public sharing, please).
    • Evaluation feedback flows into your activity log so you can track impact over time.
