This Choice, Here and Now

    0 Minutes

"This Choice, Here and Now" invites participants to explore how the choices we make, big and small, shape the direction of our lives. Using a structured worksheet, participants will watch _Focus Throw_, a black-and-white documentary about Paralympic javelin athlete Dan Pembroke and the series of decisions that defined his journey, including how he responded to the loss of his sight. Through guided discussion, they will identify the values behind Dan's choices and imagine how his life might have unfolded differently. The class then turns personal: participants reflect privately on choices they are facing in their own lives and the possibilities available to them. An optional intention-setting activity closes the session.

    Notes:
    - This class uses a worksheet throughout the session. Participants will need access to the fillable PDF on their Class page or a printed copy.
    - The personal reflection portion of this class is private and participants should not be required to share it.
    - This film includes discussion of loss of sight.
